Need care today? VEI Clinic Apgujeong is an English-friendly internal-medicine clinic in Gangnam that accepts walk-ins for most non-emergency concerns. We primarily see adults and older teens; for younger children, we coordinate with nearby pediatric partners.

- Fever, cough, suspected COVID/flu/strep
- Stomach issues: food poisoning, traveler’s diarrhea, reflux flares, constipation
- Urinary symptoms (UTI evaluation), mild dehydration
- Rashes, hives, minor skin infections, simple wound checks & dressing changes
- Allergy/asthma flares, migraine care
- Medication refills (when clinically appropriate) and fit-to-fly/sick notes
On-the-Spot Testing & Treatments
- Rapid swabs: Influenza A/B, COVID-19, strep throat
- Labs: CBC, CMP, lipids, HbA1c, thyroid (TSH ± FT4), iron/ferritin, vitamin D/B12, CRP, STI panels, TB (IGRA), immunity titers
- Injections/IVs (case-by-case): B12, D3, anti-nausea therapy, hydration
- Vaccinations: flu, Tdap, hepatitis A/B, MMR/varicella, shingles, pneumococcal (supply varies); travel vaccines by arrangement
Walk-In Visit Flow (Typically 20–60 Minutes)
- Triage & check-in → symptoms, travel/exposures, medications/allergies
- Doctor exam → focused evaluation and plan
- Point-of-care tests/labs → performed the same day when needed
- Treatment & prescriptions → clear, plain-English instructions; follow-up timing
- Documentation → English receipt and visit summary; work/school notes if appropriate
Preparation (Helps Speed Things Up)
- Bring your passport/ARC and your medication & supplement list (exact doses).
- If you expect lipid/metabolic labs, fast 8–12 hours (water OK).
- Biotin users: high-dose biotin can interfere with some labs—tell us at check-in.
- If you’ve already been tested elsewhere, bring the results or photos of them.
Insurance & Payment
- Pay at the clinic; we provide an itemized English receipt (superbill) for reimbursement.
- When appropriate, we’ll include the diagnosis codes and clinical details most plans request.
- You’ll get a clear quote before any test or procedure.
When Not to Wait — Use the ER
- Chest pain/pressure, severe shortness of breath, persistently low oxygen saturation
- Focal weakness, trouble speaking, severe headache with stiff neck
- Fainting, persistent vomiting, or signs of severe dehydration
- Pregnancy with heavy bleeding or severe pain

Do I need an appointment?
Walk-ins are welcome. Calling ahead can shorten your wait and confirm vaccine/test availability.
How fast are results?
Many rapid tests give results during the same visit; most routine labs return in 1–2 business days. We’ll set expectations up front.
Can you refill my home-country prescription?
Often yes—if clinically appropriate and available in Korea. Bring the original box or prescription with exact strength. Some medicines require a specialist referral.
Do you see children?
We see adults and older teens. For younger children, we coordinate with nearby pediatric clinics.
Can I get a sick note or fit-to-fly letter?
Yes—when clinically appropriate and after evaluation.
