VEI Clinic Apgujeong provides English-friendly thyroid evaluation with fast coordination for thyroid ultrasound near Apgujeong Station (Line 3), Exit 5. We handle the clinical exam and labs, arrange a same-day or next-day scan at a nearby imaging center when available, and review results in English with a clear plan.
When Thyroid Ultrasound Is Recommended
- New neck lump or thyroid nodule felt/seen
- Abnormal thyroid labs (TSH/FT4/FT3) or goiter on exam
- Family history of thyroid disease or prior radiation exposure
- Follow-up on previously known nodules or post-treatment checks
What a Thyroid Ultrasound Shows
- Nodules (size, number, location)
- Features that guide risk (solid/cystic, margins, calcifications)
- Thyroid size and surrounding structures
- Lymph nodes in the neck (when indicated)
On-Site Services & Coordination
- Doctor consult and focused neck exam
- Thyroid labs: TSH, FT4/FT3, anti-TPO, anti-TG (as appropriate)
- Ultrasound scheduling at a nearby imaging partner (same/next day when slots allow)
- Result review in English + written summary
- Next steps: monitoring plan, fine-needle aspiration (FNA) referral if indicated, and medication or endocrinology referral when needed
Visit Flow (What to Expect)

- Exam & labs → blood draw, paperwork for ultrasound
- Ultrasound → same/next day at a partner center (we arrange)
- Review → English explanation of report, risk category, and follow-up timeline
How to Prepare
- Wear a comfortable top with easy neck access
- Bring prior lab/scan reports if you have them
- No fasting for ultrasound; fasting may be requested for certain blood tests (we’ll advise)
- List all supplements (e.g., biotin) and thyroid meds
Results & Follow-Up
- Ultrasound reports are typically ready the same day or within 24–72 hours (center-dependent)
- We provide an English summary with nodule size(s), features, and a monitor-vs.-FNA decision
- Monitoring intervals commonly range from 6 to 12 months, tailored to risk/features
Red Flags — Go to an ER or Call 119
- Fast-growing neck mass with trouble breathing or swallowing
- Severe neck pain, high fever with throat swelling, or voice changes after rapid enlargement
- Post-procedure bleeding/swelling after an outside FNA
