Visit Flow (Typically 20–45 Minutes)
- Brief consult → goals, itinerary, medical history, allergies, pregnancy plans.
- Plan & quote → which vaccines/titers you actually need and safe timing.
- Vaccination and/or blood draw → same day when available; staged if a series.
- Documentation → English record, return dates, and travel letters if needed.
Timing Tips (Don’t Leave This to the Last Minute)
- Start 4–6 weeks before travel (some series need multiple doses).
- We can accelerate certain schedules when safe—ask us.
Preparation
- Bring your vaccine records, itinerary, and a medication/supplement list (exact doses).
- Wear short sleeves; eat a light meal and hydrate.
- Pregnancy & immunosuppression: tell us—some vaccines are deferred or substituted.
- History of severe allergy to vaccine components (e.g., yeast, neomycin, latex)? Please flag it at check-in.
Aftercare & Expected Reactions
- Common, mild (24–72h): sore arm, low fever, fatigue, mild aches—use a cool compress, rest, fluids, acetaminophen/ibuprofen if needed.
- Seek urgent care for severe allergic symptoms (trouble breathing, facial swelling, widespread hives, dizziness/fainting that doesn’t resolve).
Certificates & Proof
- We provide English vaccine records and titer reports.
- School/work forms completed when within scope; immigration programs may require designated clinics—we’ll guide you.
Pricing & Transparency
Vaccine pricing varies by brand/lot and current supply. You’ll receive a clear quote before any injection. Itemized English receipts are available for personal or corporate reimbursement.
Questions
Can I get everything in one visit?
Often yes, for single-dose vaccines; a series (e.g., Hep B, HPV) requires multiple visits. We’ll map exact dates.
I’m not sure what I need for my trip—can you advise?
Yes. We’ll review your destinations, timing, and activities and recommend vaccines, malaria prevention, and travel meds where appropriate.
Can you check if I’m already immune?
Yes—titers for MMR/varicella/hep B (± hep A) are available with same-day draws.
Are vaccines safe if I’m pregnant or immunocompromised?
Some are, some are not. We’ll tailor recommendations and defer live vaccines when necessary.
